Elected Mayor Opens New Business Exchange and Conference Centre at Cobalt
Cobalt Business Exchange and Conference Centre (CBX), the new 120,000 sq ft (11,148 sq m) serviced office and conference facility at Cobalt Park, has been officially opened by Linda Arkley, elected mayor of North Tyneside.
CBX, created from the former Atmel HQ, can accommodate up to 800 people and incorporates a range of fully-furnished office suites, with occupiers benefiting from a state-of-the-art conference centre for 500 delegates, meeting and presentation rooms, reception area and a "future proof" telecommunications system.
Mrs Arkley said: "This new facility provides great opportunities for companies in North Tyneside, and beyond, to take advantage of being based on world-class business park. It builds on the success Highbridge has had developing Cobalt Park, creating jobs and attracting inward investment to the area."
The new facility enables Highbridge to offer space to smaller businesses for the first time and can provide companies from one to 100 people with flexible, modern office facilities at very competitive costs. It also gives occupiers all the on-site benefits of operating from the region’s premier business location which include extensive transport links, personalised travel plans and discounted travel as well as access to the Cobalt Community which offers a range of social and sporting activities along with leisure and retail discounts.
A wide range of businesses and organisations are already settled in to CBX including software development companies, learning providers and management consultants. They join occupiers on Cobalt Park that include Banco Santander, P&G, Orange and Newcastle Building Society.
